Package 1. Long Reindeer Sledding, Reindeer Feeding and Sami Culture

Experience a reindeer sledding ride (approx. 35 mins) into the valley and near the sea before coming back with the mountains in the background. You will also have a chance to feed the herd of around 200 reindeer and served a warm traditional Sami lunch of reindeer stew cooked over the fire (vegetarian option available). Then gather round the fire in the lavuu (Sami tent) and listen to stories about Sami culture and joiking.

Package 2. Morning or Afternoon, Short Reindeer Sledding, Reindeer Feeding and Sami Culture

Start by feeding the herd of around 200 reindeer who will swarm all around and even eat from your hands. Then go on a short sledding ride (5-10 mins) pulled by a wild reindeer and get to experience one of the oldest methods of transports. A warm traditional Sami lunch will be cooked over the fire (vegetarian option available) and served in the Gamme (a traditional Sami hut) before gathering round the fire in the lavuu to listen to stories about Sami culture and joiking.

Package 3. Morning or Afternoon, Reindeer Feeding and Sami Culture

Visit the Sami camp and have a chance to feed the herd of around 200 wild reindeer who will swarm all around and some will even eat from your hands. You will then be invited inside a gamme for a warm traditional Sami meal cooked over the fire (vegetarian option available) before gathering round the fire in the lavuu to listen to stories about Sami culture and joiking.

Package 4. Reindeer Camp Dinner with Chance of Northern Lights

After a short bus ride you will be out into the wilderness to feed the reindeer their evening snack of lichen. Then come into a candlelit Gamme and served a relaxed three course meal including a traditional Sami reindeer stew( vegetarian option also available) and listen to stories about Sami culture and joiking (traditional Sami song). If you are lucky and the sky is clear you will have a chance to see the northern lights above the camp.
